Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. What is Ruffle?

Ruffle is a curated competition marketplace where users can participate in prize competitions to win exciting prizes. Additionally, users can create their own prize competitions to give away their own items, with the opportunity to profit from ticket sales.

2. How does Ruffle work for participants?

To participate in a competition on Ruffle, you can browse the available competitions, choose the one you'd like to enter, and purchase tickets. Please note that you must correctly answer a mandatory question to enter. You can buy a maximum of 10 tickets per competition.

3. How can I create my own prize competition on Ruffle?

To create your own competition, sign in to your Ruffle account and click on "Create a Competition." You'll need to provide details about the prize you're offering, set the ticket price, determine the competition's duration, and upload an image. You must also set a question that participants must answer correctly to enter. Additionally, you can choose to set a minimum number of tickets for the competition to become valid.

4. How do I profit from my own prize competition?

When you create your competition, you set the ticket price. The total revenue from ticket sales, minus Ruffle's 10% service fee, is your potential profit. The more tickets sold, the higher your profit. Once your competition ends, and if the minimum number of tickets is sold, Ruffle will facilitate the prize distribution to the winner, and your profit will be credited to your Ruffle account.

5. Are there any fees for using Ruffle?

Yes, Ruffle charges a 10% service fee on all successfully run competitions. This fee is deducted from the total revenue generated by your competition once it concludes. We use Stripe to process payments and they will also charge 1.5% + £0.20 for standard UK cards (1.9% + £0.20 for premium UK cards).

6. How is the winner determined in a competition?

Winners are randomly selected at the end of each competition. Ruffle uses a fair and transparent algorithm to ensure a random and unbiased selection process. The winner will be notified, and the prize will be shipped to them.

7. When will the host of a competition receive the funds generated?

After a competition draw is complete, the host will receive the funds generated by the competition once the winner confirms receipt of the prize or after 7 days if the winner doesn't confirm receipt (and shipping has been confirmed through tracking).

8. Is Ruffle a secure platform?

Yes, Ruffle takes security seriously. We use industry-standard encryption and security measures to protect your personal and financial information. We also ensure fair and transparent competition procedures.

9. How old do I need to be to participate in competitions on Ruffle?

Users must be at least 18 years old to participate in competitions on Ruffle.

10. Can I cancel my competition after creating it?

You can cancel your competition, but you may be subject to a cancellation fee. We recommend carefully reviewing your competition details before creating it to avoid unnecessary fees.
